  2.          RMS-III, DATA TRANSLATOR, TSX/RMT V-3.2d - README, 04-20-95

  4.    The RMS-III Translator, TSX, provides a range of data exchange between
  5.    RMS-III and other data formats which is beyond the scope of the basic
  6.    utilities of RMS-III.  It can assist input of downloaded data, and it
  7.    can enhance data portability by output of such formats.  It may not be
  8.    required for your current application, but might serve future purposes.

  10.    TSX provides the standard SDF, DELIMITED, and CUSTOM data transfers
  11.    found in RMS-III.  It further provides import/export of data formats
  12.    similar to REFER(R) (found on unix base systems), BibTeX, PRO-CITE(R)
  13.    transfer files, DIALOG(R) type data such as METADEX(R), MEDLINE(R),
  14.    and other on-line sources.  Several user-defined data formats (tagged
  15.    and un-tagged) are also available.

  17.    The translator must be INSTALLED (to un-compress) to the directory with
  18.    RMS-III; RMS-III files and data are not modified. About 360kb of disk
  19.    space is required.  With either the RMS-III or TSX distribution disks
  20.    in drive A: (or B:), make it the default drive, and enter "INSTALL" or
  21.    "INSTALLT".  Provide/confirm the requested information.

  23.    Once installed, the translator is accessed from Utility Menu, 4.3.

  26.    This form of TSX (V-3.2d) works ONLY with RMS-III version 3.2d.

  28.       If you have installed a prior version of TSX, you MUST
  29.       re-install this version with installation of RMS-III,3.2d.

  36.      Trial versions RMS-III do not include TSX because it makes the
  37.      `package' too big for that distribution type.  If needed for
  38.      evaluation, the TSX modules are available for shareware trial
